Over the last few weeks, 6th grade students interested in being a Student Council officer have been working hard to get elected. Along with completing an application, students also had to get signatures of other students who endorsed them, a teacher recommendation and had to write a speech.

After getting all of that done, they started their campaigns! Students made posters to hang around campus as well as did lots of marketing. It was great to see our 6th graders excited about their peers being leaders and supporting them in their race for the office!

Our first meeting will be this week on Thursday, September 5. I look forward to working with all of our student council students!
